Intended operation: processing of waste (hazardous and waste that does not contain hazardous substances) in the gasification facility in the “Gardene hazardous waste storage facility”.
The initiator of the intended activity is A/S BAO Reg. No. 40003320069, legal address: Celtnieku iela 3A, Olaine, Olaine province, LV – 2114, e-mail: bao@bao.lv.
The intended operation is planned in the land property “Gardene hazardous waste storage”, Auru parish, Dobeles county, land unit cadastral designation 4646 001 0005.
On 20.05.2024, the State Environmental Monitoring Office has adopted Decision No. 5-02-1/28/2024 on the application of the environmental impact assessment for the intended operation of processing waste (hazardous and waste that does not contain hazardous substances) in a gasification facility.
Description of the intended operation: the intended operation includes the gasification of waste in the gasification plant, obtaining synthesis gas, which is intended to produce electricity when burned.
In the processing facilities, the amount of material intended for gasification is 12,000 t/year, as a result of gasification, synthesis gas will be formed – the estimated amount per year is ~ 9,000 t, as well as gasification waste – about 1,900 t/year.
Technical parameters of the waste fuel gasification plant:
a. Consumption of gasifiable materials – 2050 kg/h;
b. Electricity generation capacity – 2.5 MW;
c. Heat energy generation capacity – 3.8 MW;

The on-site public consultation will take place on July 3, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in Gardene, Aura Parish, Dobele County, at Gardene Primary School, Priežu Street 21. The prepared materials on the intended activity can be found on the website www.geoconsultants.lv, as well as in the municipality of Dobele region.
In the period from June 25 to July 2, 2024, interested parties will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers about the planned activity by writing to the e-mail address: maris.bremss@geoconsultants.lv
