Industrial and hazardous waste processing
JSC BAO provides industrial and production waste management, including collection, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste. We accept organic and inorganic waste, solvents, paint and coating residues, as well as waste containing heavy metals, acids, alkalis and petroleum products.

Hazardous waste is transported by specialized transport of JSC BAO, using packaging that complies with regulatory enactments and containers designed to meet safety requirements.

Waste collection – repackaging, loading and other related activities are performed by specialists of JSC BAO, who are specially trained to perform relevant activities.

Construction waste collection at our site
Construction waste is waste that occurs during construction, repair, reconstruction or demolition of buildings. It can include concrete, bricks, tiles, ceramics and other mineral building materials. JSC BAO provides acceptance of construction waste at our site, where customers deliver construction waste themselves. We sort construction waste by type of material and organize its further processing or regeneration in accordance with regulatory enactments.

Working hours: Monday–Friday 09:00–16:30, closed on holidays.
At the collection point, we accept construction waste from individuals, as well as from legal entities, if the merchant has a valid waste transportation permit. If there is no such permit, we provide transportation services.

Construction waste container rental and waste removal
JSC BAO provides construction waste container rental, delivery and removal of construction waste for construction and repair sites. We offer a convenient and effective solution for the collection, transportation and further management of construction waste in accordance with regulatory enactments.
CONTAINERS AND BAGS
Specialized containers are used for the removal of construction waste, which are designed for heavy and bulky construction waste. For smaller volumes, we offer durable polypropylene bags (Big Bags), which are a practical solution for smaller repair works and limited areas.

Recycling of electronics and electronic waste
JSC BAO provides electronic waste collection, free removal and recycling in accordance with regulatory enactments. We accept used household appliances and equipment that are powered by electricity or batteries – TV, computers, monitors, refrigerators, washing machines, telephones, batteries and other electrical equipment. Electronic waste may contain hazardous substances, including lead, cadmium and mercury, therefore its management must be carried out in accordance with environmental protection requirements.

FREE ELECTRONIC WASTE REMOVAL
We provide free electronic waste removal in Riga and surrounding regions for companies and private individuals.
Minimum volume – 30 kg.

LEGISLATION
Management of electrical and electronic waste is carried out in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 302 (19.04.2011), which determines the classification and management requirements for electronic waste.

Waste management can be carried out by concluding a service contract or upon individual request.

Health care waste disposal
Waste generated in medical treatment, pharmaceutical, and veterinary institutions, as well as by residents – expired, used and not used drugs, spray bottles, sharp tools (syringes, needles, scalpels) etc.

Recycling and disposal of waste containing heavy metals
The most common compounds in modern industry used for various purposes are lead, cadmium, and mercury – as parts of electric appliances in TV sets, computers, daylight lamps, batteries etc.

Destruction of goods
Goods or materials, have been seized according to statutory order and are intended for destruction. Expired goods or materials must be destroyed. Damaged and deficient goods or materials and other goods or materials are subject to destruction to avoid their release into the market.

Asbestos
Asbestos is a material widely used in construction and defined as hazardous. Asbestos dust, entering the human body, can cause tuberculosis and malignant tumors.
Collecting asbestos materials is a paid service.

OLAINE FACILITY
Private individuals are tended to hand over asbestos-containing waste to the Olaine hazardous waste processing facility themselves, where they can pay with a payment card.
PAYMETS
In the case of using JSC BAO transport services, an invoice for 100% prepayment for asbestos disposal will be issued, including asbestos disposal and transportation costs.

Hazardous household waste
Hazardous domestic waste, if managed incorrectly, can cause damage to people and the environment: used household electronics (TV set, radio, refrigerator, washing machine, batteries and accumulators, etc.), household chemicals (detergents, paint residues, solvents, disinfectants, cosmetics, mineral fertilizers, pesticides, contaminated containers, etc.), medical waste generated in the household (medicines, syringes, etc.), items containing mercury (thermometers, fluorescent lamps, batteries, etc.), car waste (used oils, coolants, brake fluids, batteries, contaminated filters, etc.).
FOR INDIVIDUALS
Individuals can hand over these materials up to 10 kg free of charge at JSC BAO household hazardous waste collection sites.
